The December 3 minutes were approved.

The appointment of Dr. Sharmila Makhija as chair of OBGYN was announced. She will join Einstein April 1, 2015.

The LCME visit was discussed. The preliminary impression is that Einstein came through reasonably well with some items to be addressed on the standard criteria. A significant concern was the need to conclude the negotiations with Montefiore.

The news commentaries regarding the Montefiore negotiations were discussed. The negotiations are ongoing.

The possibility of forming a dental school that would be based in Van Etten is being explored.

The meeting adjourned at 3:50 p.m.
