PRESENT: Drs. Allen Spiegel, Jeffrey Segall, Elyse Sussman, Susan Horwitz, Nadine Katz, Ellie Schoenbaum, Victor Schuster, Simon Spivack, Pamela Stanley, Allison Harney, Ms Jessica Doerner, Dr. Stephen Baum

The Belfer Institute was discussed. Compensation levels for postdoctoral fellows are being evaluated. Overall postdoc levels have declined 20% from their peak. There will be institution of closer tracking of postdocs and students in line with NIH requirements. The Dennis Shields awards will be announced in the spring.

Graduate student issues were discussed. Communications issues identified during the recent fire will be corrected.

The new Einstein board structure was discussed. The board has fiduciary responsibility for Einstein and is now termed the Einstein Board of Trustees. It has a significant proportion of the members of the previous Board of Overseers, along with representatives from Einstein, Montefiore and Yeshiva University.

The meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
