Senate Meeting: Wednesday, October 12, 2022

Dr. Tomaselli gave the Dean’s report, announcing the funding of the CTSA and MSTP programs, a new agreement with Jacobi, the date for the cancer center site visit, the creation of a task force addressing the new NIH data sharing policy, and introducing the new dean for DEI. He also provided updates on fundraising, ongoing searches and appointments.
Dr. Arnsten gave a brief Speaker’s report, updating the Senate on one recent council meeting.
Dr. Saha presented data on the activity of the Office for Grant Support (OGS).
Dr. Segall reminded the Senate of an ongoing vote on the revised tenure policy.
Ms. Ramirez discussed initiatives to comply with a new pay transparency law.
