After approval of the Minutes, Dr. Allen Spiegel gave his Dean’s report.

• Dr. Spiegel discussed the status of the federal budget and its implications on the NIH budget, as well as that of the tax bill. He then updated the Senate on the search for the Cancer Center Director.
• Dr. Jeffrey Segall, in his Speaker’ report, updated the Senate on two Council meetings and discussed the upcoming vote on “net neutrality” and its implications for Einstein.
• The Quality of Life Committee presented the results of the yearly survey.
• Mr. Jack Zencheck presented the updated guidelines that have been implemented by Procurement.
