After approval of the Minutes, Dr. Allen Spiegel gave his Dean’s report, focusing on the announcement of the new Dean, the search for the new Cancer Center director, the departure of Jed Shivers, and the election of Ana Maria Cuervo to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Dr. Elyse Sussman, for her Speaker’ report, commented on one council meeting and on the work of the bylaws committee.

Dr. Karen Bonuk, on behalf of the Einstein Montefiore Action Group, updated the Senate on the March of Science.

Dr. Louis Hodgson reported on the activity of the committee on appointments and promotions for associate professors.

Dana Lee and Laura Wilson-Youngblood introduced the services of the Office of General Counsel.

Jim Geraghty and Suzanne Locke presented the new financial reports that will be made available to all the PIs.
