MINUTES OF SENATE COUNCIL MEETING

VIA ZOOM: Drs. Julia Arnsten, Jonathan Lai, Jacqueline Achkar, Jonathan Alpert, Teresa DiLorenzo, Matthew Gamble, Chandan Guha, Carmen Isasi, Nadine Katz, Marla Keller, Susan Klugman, Victor Schuster, Simone Sidoli, Pamela Stanley, Sylvia Suadicani, Allison Ludwig; Mr. Ryan Graff

ABSENT: Dr. Kalyani Dhusia

1. Meeting minutes from the Feb 3, 2021 meeting were reviewed, and revisions recommended.
2. Upcoming scheduling changes for the March Senate Council and Faculty Senate meetings were discussed. Dr. Arnsten will be away, Dr. Lai will fill in as speaker but dates have been changed to Mar 10 (Senate Council and Faculty Senate) and Mar 24 (Senate Council). Potential agenda items for upcoming Faculty Senate were discussed.
3. The role of Senate Council, and structure/topics for upcoming meetings was discussed.
4. The Council discussed cost reduction at Einstein as part of the larger strategic management plan for Einstein.
5. Issues related to Einstein and Montefiore computing and IT were discussed. The Council plans to invite guests to discuss Einstein/Montefiore IT service, as well research bioinformatics.  

The meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
