I think it is important for student to see a diverse faculty, as it allows us all to find a mentor who may have shared similar life/educational experiences.

Diversity at Einstein is important to me because it is imperative for the community we work with to see a reflection of themselves in the physicians that care for them. Increasing diversity also stimulates ingenuity and growth; it is shown that when those from different races, religions and ethnicities come together, they are able to learn and develop from each other’s ideas. It is my hope that Einstein will one day mirror the diverse population that it serves.

Although there continues to be an increase in the amount of diversity among students at Einstein, I hope to see that diversity reflected in faculty as well. I think it is important for student to see a diverse faculty, as it allows us all to find a mentor who may have shared similar life/educational experiences.
