Special Session: Medical Screening and Treatment Recommendations for Newly Arrived Immigrant Children

Event Description
Children of immigrants are one of the fastest-growing populations of children in the United States. By identifying effective practices and relevant resources, pediatricians can better support the health of their immigrant patients. During this session, Dr. Dawson-Hahn will review the recommended medical screening and treatment protocols for newly arrived immigrant children.
By the end of this session, participants should be able to:
•Discuss how to apply current screening and diagnostic protocols to evaluate immigrant children for latent infectious diseases and other conditions.
