Housing

To request student housing accommodations, please complete the online housing application. Housing application link will be sent by email. Once we receive your application, our Housing Office will work on assigning you to an apartment and preparing your rental agreement.

Housing Move-in Dates

Your student ID card and apartment keys will be ready for pickup at the Security Desk in 1935 Eastchester Road, Bronx, New York 10461, in an envelope with your name on it.

Requirements Prior to Starting the Program

Before starting your program, make sure to fulfill the following requirements:

Health Clearance

Incoming students will receive health clearance forms via email. Please complete these forms before the program begins. Please note that you won't be able to start the program until these forms are completed and returned directly to the Einstein Occupational Health Office.

Human Resources Onboarding

All participants must complete HR onboarding. Information about HR onboarding requirements will be sent to you via email. Make sure to complete these requirements before enrolling in the program. The HR onboarding process includes:

Academic Transcript Verification

For students educated in the United States, arrange for final official transcripts to be sent by mail or electronically to the Graduate Office.

For students educated outside the United States, transcripts from international schools should be evaluated by World Education Services (WES). Official transcripts should be sent directly to WES. The cost for the WES course-by-course evaluation of incoming first-year Ph.D. students will be covered by Einstein. Visit the WES website at http://www.wes.org/required/ for information on required documents for credential evaluations.

Online CITI Training

Before your arrival, you'll receive an email with instructions on how to complete the online CITI training modules. These instructions and login information will be sent approximately two weeks before the start of your program. Remember, the online modules must be completed before your arrival on campus. This training can usually be completed in just a few hours.

Biochemistry Assessment

To ensure your readiness for the Biochemistry course (course #7001), you'll take a biochemistry assessment test. This test will be administered via Canvas, and you will receive information about the date, time, and location before the course begins.

Health Insurance

We offer a student health insurance plan to Einstein PhD scholars. The coverage becomes effective from the first day of the month. Please refrain from canceling your present health coverage until your student health insurance plan is active.
