Senate Meeting: Wednesday, February 7, 2018

After approval of the Minutes, Dr. Allen Spiegel gave his Dean’s report
Dr. Spiegel updated the Senate on progress toward independent degree granting and announced the appointment of a new chair of the Department of Neurosurgery, Dr. Emad Eskandar.
Dr. Jeffrey Segall had no updates for his Speaker’ report.
Dr. Kelvin Davies announced a committee to revise the Senate bylaws.
Yvonne Ramirez, from Human Resources, discussed the new diversity and inclusion strategic plan.
Jack Zencheck and Shailesh Shenoy introduced the managed print program and presented an update on the Montefiore/Einstein IT.
