Medical Education: As Associate Dean for Medical Education I collaboratively lead the 4 year curricular, assessment, and program evaluation components at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I am passionate about innovations that are mission driven and focused on application of knowledge. In our new curriculum, this has manifested in the creation of 4 new longitudinal courses: service learning, impact, integration, and health systems science and health equity. I am also interested in developing and implementing rational and useful approaches to student assessment that mirror the type of work students will do as physicians and in designing useful mechanisms to evaluate our programs and instructors. I believe in a humanistic approach to education that fosters the growth and development of faculty leaders and our incredible Einstein students.
From a scholarly perspective, I work on applying theoretical constructs in business, education, and humanities to broad educational challenges in medical education.
