Finding Your Voice: Getting Past the Imposter

Event Description

Imposter syndrome is a phenomenon in which people discredit their achievements and fear being revealed as a fake or fraud. Up to 70% of people say that they struggle with this at some point in their career and it leaves them more susceptible to self-doubt. During this session, we will introduce five behavioral traits to embrace your confidence, and introduce and practice a framework to help you get past the imposter!

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Define imposter syndrome and understand the impact in academic medicine.

2. Examine five behavioral traits to enhance your confidence.

3. Introduce and practice a framework to getting your voice heard.
