Overview
The primary mission of the Rose F. Kennedy UCEDD is to improve the quality of life of persons with developmental disabilities and their families.
Rose F. Kennedy Center, University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) faculty/staff engage with community partners: families, self-advocates, voluntary, and governmental agencies, and community leaders to advise on the quality of life and services for children and adults with developmental disabilities across the lifespan. This is achieved through collaboration and sharing technical assistance to provide direct problem-solving strategies to improve and innovate services and advance public healthcare policies.
Rose F. Kennedy Center, University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) core activities are supported by the US Administration on Community Living (Grant: 90DDUC0095). Our Rose F. Kennedy Center, University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) also receives support governmental and foundation funders such as: National Institutes of Health, the New York State Department of Health, the New York State Developmental Disabilities Planning Council, and the Robin Hood Foundation.
