At Albert Einstein College of Medicine, our mission is to train M.D. students to become compassionate physicians and future leaders in medicine who change the practice of healthcare. As a student in our M.D. program, you gain the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in medicine with the flexibility to participate in dual degree and master’s degree programs, as well as global health learning and immersion experiences.

Our M.D. curriculum combines a solid foundation in the biomedical and health systems sciences and rigorous, hands-on clinical training with the flexibility to pursue research interests and to meet the healthcare needs of underserved populations in the Bronx, the greater New York metropolitan area, and beyond.
Unparalleled Research Opportunities
Einstein provides a broad range of research and scholarship opportunities in many disciplines including, global health, community engagement, health information technology and biodesign, quality improvement, and medical education. We also offer fellowship stipends, for M.D. students who seek to pursue individual scientific and scholarly interests and enhance their educational experiences beyond the core curriculum. All M.D. students work with a research mentor to complete a capstone project and final scholarly paper as part of Einstein’s graduation requirements.

We empower M.D. students with the financial knowledge they need for academic success. Every M.D. student at Einstein receives a Ruth L. and David S. Gottesman Scholarship that covers the full cost of tuition and fees. Our financial aid counselors are also available to help you manage the additional cost of attending medical school, such as housing, food, and other miscellaneous costs.
