Welcome to the Internal Medicine Residency at the Montefiore Medical Center, Wakefield Campus!
Our residency is a community-based hospital program affiliated with the Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. As a community hospital with a university affiliation, we have the best of both worlds. You will truly become a member of our family and quickly become comfortable with the place and the people, from the front door greeters to the ICU attendings. You will also have the benefits of being part of a nationally recognized medical center, with access to faculty who are leaders in their fields and cutting-edge technology.
Our mission is to develop physicians who are skilled in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care (with empathy and cultural sensitivity) as general internists and are lifelong independent learners.
