The Department of Medicine established a Well-Being committee in 2022, which meets regularly to address the issues of well-being and burnout among its members.

- The DOM Well-Being Grant Program:
The Department of Medicine launched the well-being grant program in 2023-2024. The program provides financial support to conduct physician well-being related projects.

- COMPASS (Colleagues Meeting to Promote and Sustain Satisfaction) Groups
The Department of Medicine’s COMPASS Groups offer an opportunity to break bread and share experiences with physician colleagues regularly. They have been shown to improve burnout, depressive symptoms, and job satisfaction. - Here's what some of the participants enjoyed about heir COMPASS experience:
- Meeting new people, making friends, having a dedicated social time with physicians outside of work
- Opportunity to have meaningful conversations with colleagues out of the workplace, build relationships, counsel and support each other, benefit from each other's diverse personal and professional experiences, exchange ideas and relax over a tasty meal
