Six investigators representing the Department of Medicine were awarded research prizes at the 18th annual Montefiore Young Investigators Symposium, held April 5, 2013 in Cherkasky Auditorium.
"This year's science level was very high, and selecting the winners was a challenge," said Dr. Parviz Lalezari, who judged the event.
There were 26 presentations from nine different departments, and twelve of the presenters received awards. The award recipients included the following individuals from the Department of Medicine:

Medical Student, mentored by Dr. Max O'Donnell and Dr. Sarita Shah
