The Hemophilia Treatment Center at Montefiore

The Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC), is the first to be approved in the New England region for over forty years. Drs. Henny Billett and Jennifer Davila are the adult and pediatric co-directors for this new program to serve patients with bleeding disorders in the Bronx, Westchester and Rockland counties. This Comprehensive nature of a HTC assures the diverse population of this region the social services, genetic counseling and support services that they require, ensuring our patients that they will be able to receive the care they need and deserve. The HTC will have a close relationship with the Thrombosis Prevention and Treatment Program that the Division of Hematology has directed for many years. The HTC actively participates in Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Maternal Child Health Bureau (MCHB) studies, allowing our patients access to the national database and the most innovative in clinical care. The Montefiore Hemophilia Treatment Center is creating a new hemophilia medical home, guaranteeing for our patients a smooth transition from pediatric treatment to adult hemophilia care.
