Invasive Cardiology Grand Rounds is a clinical conference that focuses on recent catheterization cases, with rigorous discussion of the management issues. Cardiology (clinical, invasive and noninvasive) and cardiothoracic surgery faculty are among regular attendants of these conferences, and, as appropriate, faculty of related disciplines.
Interventional cardiology grand rounds are multimedia, Powerpoint, presentations of the clinical, electrocardiographic, radiographic, and catheterization data. Both the digital angiographic images and digital echocardiographic images (as appropriate) are presented, the latter usually by the noninvasive fellow and the noninvasive attendings. An important part of the presentation is a review of the relevant literature by the fellow. Formal “Mortality and Morbidity” presentations are a regular part of this conference.
