2013 Research Symposium Highlights (4:26)

The 2013 Department of Medicine Annual Resident/Fellow Research Symposium took place Monday, May 6, with a large turnout and lots of conversation and activity. Eighty-three posters were on display, including 44 from members of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, 25 from Medicine fellows, seven from Dermatology residents, and seven from medical students and/or other pre-MDs.

Resident and fellow posters were judged separately, and the winners and honorable mentions are listed below. Cash prizes ($400 for 1st place, $350 for 2nd place, and $250 for 3rd place) were kindly provided by Dr. James Scheuer.

"We are indebted to Jim for this support," said Dr. Victor Schuster, Chairman of the Department of Medicine. "I also thank Dr. Bettina Fries, and Anna Manca and her staff for all their work in making the Symposium a success, as well as the trainee investigators and their mentors."
