Objective 1: Prepare adolescent students with ASD for transitioning to adult living and services:
We provide advance preparation and training for further schooling (e.g., college) or for employment through:
- Neuropsychological evaluation and development of an individualized written transition plan
- In-house therapies, which include:
- Adolescent Social skills group
- Communication skills therapy – including the development of voice, prosody, language formulation/fluency
- Independent living skills/Organizational skills therapy
- Training for High Schools in the SOS: Social skills in Our Schools transition program (a three year program to help high schools transition their high functioning students with ASD to work or college, and independent living)
- Training for counselors in colleges, job coaches, and employers who work with individuals with ASD
Objective 2: Support Adults with ASD in establishing an effective, independent life:
We provide group support and independent therapies for adults with ASD to help them attain their interpersonal, independent living, and employment goals.
- Neuropsychological evaluation
- In-house therapies, which include:
- Social skills group
- Communication skills therapy
- Independent living skills/Organizational skills therapy
- Social coaching in the community
