Radiation Oncology

In Accordance with the Administration's goals and objectives, the Department is fulfilling its mission: We are combinging the latest technology with compassionate care to better serve our patients. We are emphasizing multidisciplinary management of all cancer patients and maitaining the highest quality teaching and cutting-edge research. And we are striving to make Montefiore a destination address for cancer patients.

In addition, we've improved our teaching mission by reorganizing the collaboration between Montefiore and Beth Israel Medical Center. Our clinical research, which now emphasizes investigator-initated translational studies, has become significantly stronger thanks to increased institutional collaboratons. Our Radiation Biology Laboratories exemplify this collaborative effort, through its links to Einstein's Liver Center, Gruss MR Center, and the Departments of Pathology, Biochemistry, and Immunology.
