The office of diversity enhancement at Albert Einstein College of Medicine offers pathway programs for low-income and underrepresented college students, college graduates, or post-baccalaureate students who wish to improve the competitiveness of their medical school application.

Rising Doctors Program

The Rising Doctors Program at Einstein is an innovative, 10-month hybrid program that targets medical school reapplicants. Students in the New York City area who have not been accepted to medical school but who have completed prerequisite coursework and who have taken the medical school admissions test (MCAT) are eligible to apply to this 10-month hybrid program. Participants work closely with a pre-health coach and receive guidance on how to create a more competitive medical school application. The Rising Doctors Program takes place each year from September through June.  We accept applications from June 1 through July 31.
