The Institute for Health Equity at Montefiore Einstein serves as a central resource hub for collaborative, cross-disciplinary, and community-partnered research. Our resources are available to teams studying complex problems in any clinical specialty or disease area and are designed to augment components of health equity within research design, development, interpretation of results, and information sharing.
Funding Landscape Adaptability & Growth Group
The Funding Landscape Adaptability & Growth (FLAG) Group is a supportive co-learning community that shares insights and responsive resources for continuity and advocacy in health equity research in a changing funding landscape.
The FLAG Group meets virtually each quarter to share updates and explore relevant topics through investigator presentations, panel discussions, peer support, workshopping, and more. Quarterly meetings are open to FLAG Group members only.

The Community Collaborative Core, part of the Block Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) at Einstein and Montefiore, provides consultative services to support researchers in conducting community- engaged research or incorporating community input into research projects.

The New York City Research and Improvement Networking Group (NYC RING), an interdisciplinary practice-based research network, provides design and implementation support for primary care practices interested in conducting health equity research.

The Montefiore Einstein Community Team partners with neighborhood organizations and elected officials and engages faculty, trainees, researchers, and data analysts to improve community health initiatives and to apply health systems approaches to advance health equity.
