EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

The goal of the employee relations function is to develop and support a positive relationship between employees and Albert Einstein College of Medicine through programs, guidelines and policies that ensure fairness, respect and consistent treatment of all employees. The Employee Relations team works with departments, managers and staff to remove barriers to effective communication and job performance and to assist with problem solving and mediation.

    Employee Relations services include:

  • Assisting individuals and departments in conflict resolution efforts through facilitated discussions, mediation support and remedial measures
  • Providing advice, counsel and support in managing employee performance and conduct issues to ensure compliance with applicable policies, collective bargaining agreements and Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s standards of fair, consistent and professional treatment
  • Providing policy and procedural interpretation and guidance
  • Administering collective bargaining agreements for union-represented employees
  • Providing senior-level organizational consulting services and training on employment-related matters
  • Providing guidance and advice on compliance with laws governing employment matters
  • Coordinating employee engagement programs and activities
