Union-represented employees are provided benefits through their unions’ benefit fund organizations. Eligible union-represented employees can participate in some of the benefit offerings provided by Einstein, including commuter benefits and the Einstein retirement plan.
Commuter benefits are available to help pay mass transit and/or parking expenses through pretax payroll deductions, which lower an employee’s taxable income.

Einstein provides tuition reimbursement to NYSNA union-represented employees for all courses credited for matriculation so long as the program is in nursing or an allied field. If the employee has not matriculated, tuition reimbursement will be provided only for work-related courses, except if the employee decides to matriculate within one year from commencement of the course; in that case, the college will reimburse the employee for non-work-related courses that are credited for matriculation purposes.
The maximum annual entitlement will be $5,000 or eighteen credits, whichever is greater.
