The Einstein Coordinating Center

The Coordinating Center at Einstein is a collaboration between two productive and established components of Albert Einstein College of Medicine Research Infrastructure: the Block Institute for Clinical and Translational Research at Einstein and Montefiore (ICTR) and the Einstein Department of Family & Social Medicine (DFSM) Division of Research.

In 2008 Einstein and Montefiore Medical Center jointly received an NIH-funded Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) that has created the Block Institute for Clinical and Translation Research (ICTR). The CTSA is a national consortium linking 55 institutions across the US.

The ICTR’s Informatics Core, manages the data for BraveNet studies, and the Biostatistics and Research Design Core, provides expert statistical support for the statistics group in the DFSM and also plays an important role in the development of new grant proposals for BraveNet, providing design and statistics expertise appropriately matched to each project in development.
