Admission and Application The Division of Critical Care Medicine has been ACGME approved for 17 full-time fellows. Each year, the Division accepts 8-9 physicians for a one-year fellowship program and 3-4 physicians for a two-year fellowship program. Application Criteria Applicants eligible for appointment to the fellowship program sponsored by the Albert Einstein College of Medicine must be one of the following: Graduates of an LCME-accredited medical school in the USA or Canada Graduates of an American Osteopathic Association accredited school of Osteopathy International Medical Graduates who have a valid certificate from the ECFMG or a full and unrestricted license to practice in a US licensing jurisdiction Graduates of an LCME-approved 5th Pathway Program Applicants for the two-year training program must have successfully completed either an internal medicine or an emergency medicine residency program prior to beginning fellowship training on July 1st. It is suggested that applicants from emergency medicine training programs have completed at least five months of internal medicine rotation prerequisites prior to the beginning of fellowship. Applicants for the one-year training program must have completed a qualifying two or three-year internal medicine subspecialty fellowship prior to beginning fellowship training on July 1st. International Applicants Montefiore Medical Center sponsors H1, H1b and J1 visas. Application Materials Completed application, submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
