Montefiore Einstein Transplant Hepatology Fellowship Program Education Founded in 2007, the Montefiore Einstein Center for Liver Transplantation has served the Bronx community as well as surrounding areas, including Westchester County and upstate New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Originally founded to deliver exceptional care to the community in the Bronx, the liver transplant program performs over 60 adult and pediatric liver transplants per year with a one-year estimated patient survival rate of more than *95%, exceeding the national average. In addition, the liver transplant program has an active living donor liver transplant program as well as a multi-organ transplant program in cooperation with our kidney, heart, and lung transplant teams. Fellows with the Transplant Hepatology Fellowship Program at Montefiore’s Moses Campus receive a broad range of experience and exposure. Program participants routinely participate in the diagnosis and management of patients with all forms of acute and chronic liver disease both on the inpatient hepatology service and consultations throughout the hospital. * More detailed outcome data can be found here.
