Dr. Guo being sworn in as NYCSHP President.Dr. Yi Guo, Clinical Pharmacy Manager of Infectious Diseases at Montefiore Medical Center, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, was inducted as president of the New York City Society of Health-System Pharmacists (NYCSHP) Thursday, June 25, 2015.
A key member of the Montefiore Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, Dr. Guo has
several publications and abstracts on antimicrobial stewardship (antimicrobial
resistance, antimicrobial utilization/evaluation, antiretroviral prescribing
errors-promoting medication safety) that have been presented at the American
Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Annual Infectious Diseases Society of
America, and the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America Annual Scientific
meetings. In addition to being president and delegate to the New York City
Society of Health-System Pharmacists, she is currently the co-chair of the GNYHA
Services Antimicrobial Stewardship forum.
Dr. Guo and Board of Directors of the NYCSHP.The New York City Society of Health-System Pharmacists is an influential dynamic organization representing pharmacists who practice in ambulatory, long term, managed, home and acute care settings. As president, Dr. Guo will oversee the provision of education and training; facilitate exchange of information among members, health care professionals and the public; foster the optimal responsible use of medications; advocate progressive legislation and regulation supporting public health; and promote research in pharmaceutical practice and sciences.
