Michael B. Prystowsky, MD, PhD

Welcome to the Montefiore Einstein Department of Pathology.

Pathology is a unique and challenging area of medicine – and an endlessly fascinating one. Pathologists play a vital role in research and clinical practice across all medical disciplines.

Exciting opportunities in both clinical and experimental pathology abound at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Our residency, fellowship and graduate education programs are national models. We apply the bedrock principles of pathology, the latest scientific advances, and state-of-the-art clinical laboratory techniques to train future generations of highly skilled, compassionate pathologists and other clinicians, investigators and physician-scientists who are well-equipped to meet the challenges of 21st -century medicine and medical practice.

Our collegial and collaborative clinical, research and educational environment attracts talented faculty and trainees from around the world. We take pride in their valuable contributions to the Montefiore Einstein community, to the national and global healthcare communities, and to the field of pathology.

We invite you to explore the many facets of our work outlined here on our website, and encourage you to contact us if you’re interested in learning more.

Best wishes,
