The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine is pleased to announce new early career physician scientist research fellowship opportunities at the Psychiatry Research Institute at Montefiore/Einstein (PRIME) for Clinical and Translational Studies.
Drawing upon the exceptional basic science and clinical resources on campus together with partnerships with diverse communities of the Bronx, Manhattan, and Westchester post-doctoral fellows at PRIME have an opportunity to engage in mentored clinical and translational research within a unique and expanding Institute committed to far-ranging, interdisciplinary psychiatry research.
Research activities in PRIME include: a) basic and translational studies in collaboration with the Dominick P. Purpura Department of Neuroscience; b) human studies related to mood and anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, psychotic disorders, autism and obsessive compulsive spectrum disorders, and suicide; and c) research on health disparities and multicultural mental health in PRIME’s Center for Health Equity.
Eligible candidates must have an MD (or DO) or MD PhD degree at a PGY-4 level or higher at the time of application and must be eligible for physician licensure in New York State. Candidates should be no more than 3 years from graduation from an accredited residency training program.
