Professor, Department of Medicine (Critical Care)
Professor, Department of Epidemiology & Population Health (Epidemiology)
Welcome to the Montefiore Einstein Department of Medicine. We are proud to be the largest department in the only academic health system based in the Bronx, with more than 1,700 providers across 60 ambulatory sites and three inpatient hospitals.
Our mission is grounded in four pillars: exceptional clinical care, scientific discovery, education, and service to our community in the Bronx and beyond. Across 14 divisions spanning primary care, hospital medicine, and specialty medicine, we are committed to compassionate, patient-centered care and to advancing better outcomes for the patients and communities we serve.
Our clinical excellence drives research that addresses real-world patient needs. With more than 100 clinical trials and over 100 NIH–funded principal investigators across clinical, translational, and basic science research, our department is consistently among the nation’s top NIH–funded departments of medicine. Our faculty publish in leading journals, help shape clinical guidelines, and train the next generation of physicians and scientists.
We are home to more than 900 faculty members and train more than 400 residents and fellows across three highly competitive residency programs and a wide range of fellowships. Together, across disciplines and missions, we are working to improve people’s health.
I encourage you to learn more about us. You can find out about our residency and fellowship programs, follow us on LinkedIn and Instagram, and consider becoming part of our team.
