Sample Block Schedule

Fellows work clinically with the Family Planning service in the outpatient clinics and operating rooms an average of 2 days per week.
Fellows work at Montefiore Medical Center and North Central Bronx Hospital with a varied schedule.

Research and Scholarly Activity

Areas of research and populations in focus within in the Division of Complex Family Planning include: 

  • Immediate postpartum contraception including systems and implementation research, patient perspectives and experiences and provider education
  • Medical management of early pregnancy loss and intrauterine fetal demise - use of mifepristone
  • Contraception for women with medical conditions
  • Reproductive health needs of HIV positive women and girls
