Dr. Carruthers graduated from New York University School of Medicine, completed internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern, and completed an endocrinology fellowship at New York University's endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism program prior to joining faculty at Albert Eistein and Montefiore hospital. He practices general endocrinology, with clinical interests in thyroid and metabolic disorders, including type 2 diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, and weight management.
