WNYC Radio interviews Siobhan Dolan, M.D., M.P.H., and Alan Fleischman, M.D., about a recent effort to reduce birth defects in the Hispanic community by letting manufacturers add folic acid to corn flour, an common ingredient in many Latino foods. Dr. Dolan is associate professor of clinical obstetrics & gynecology and women's health at Einstein and attending physician of obstetrics & gynecology and women's health at Montefiore Medical Center.
