Human Rights Day with Dr. Kamiar Alaei

Speaker: Dr. Kamiar Alaei
Dr. Alaei is a global health policy expert recognized in global health and human rights by the Global Health Council, the World Health Organization, the New York Academy of Sciences, and more. Dr. Alaei founded “triangular” clinics in Iran to provide treatment for sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, and drug addiction, which became a best-practice model for the Middle East and North Africa. He has been the co-president of the Institute for International Health and Education and has done work with Physicians for Human Rights. He recently received a $10 million federal grant to train minoritized students about public health information technology aimed at reducing disparities.
