Denise Rothberg Elected President of Westchester/Fairfield Einstein Women's Division

September 15, 2008 — (Bronx, NY) — The National Women's Division of Albert Einstein College of Medicine recently elected Denise Rothberg as president of its Westchester/Fairfield chapter. In this role, Rothberg, a Scarsdale resident, will help spearhead a multi-million fundraising campaign for the Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center at Einstein.

Rothberg, a licensed real estate broker with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Scarsdale, has won a variety of sales awards and has worked with buyers and sellers in virtually all Westchester communities. She is a member of Coldwell Banker's prestigious International Sterling Society, as well as an accredited Buyer Representative. She earned her B.S. from SUNY Binghamton and her M.B.A. from New York University. Rothberg has been on the Board of Trustees of the Center for Preventive Psychiatry/Andrus Children's Home and an active member of The National Women's Division since 1997.

As president of the Westchester/Fairfield chapter, she will lead fundraising efforts to create a new clinical research program that will explore causes, cures and prevention for autism, cerebral palsy and other developmental disorders.

"Children with special needs are an issue I hold close to my heart," says Rothberg. "As a person who champions early intervention, I am especially proud of our campaign to create this clinical research program."

Einstein's Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art services to 8,000 children with a wide range of serious developmental disorders and to their families.

Founded in 1953, the National Women's Division of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine supports the college's mission of providing state-of-the-art programs in biomedical research and medical education to improve human health.
