The Council was chaired by Dr. Burns.

The issue of reimbursement for holiday parties was discussed.

Dr. Avital Fast, chair of Rehabilitation Medicine, has resigned and thus there will be a search for a replacement. The interim chair will be Mark Thomas, currently the Vice-Chair.

HHC is planning to choose a single umbrella group to run all its hospitals, and the selected group does not have experience with teaching hospitals and is focused on clinical productivity. This has potential effects on the teaching environment at Jacobi. The administration is working to maintain the teaching capability of the physicians there.

Possible changes to academic tracks were discussed.
