The minutes of the February 6 meeting were approved. 

Einstein has formally decided to join the New York Genome Center as a founding member

Several chair searches are ongoing, including rehab medicine, urology, and neuroscience.  New searches for OB-GYN and Medicine will soon begin

There was a summary of the Board meeting in February.  Jed Shivers presented the budget.  Dr. Joe Verghese presented an interesting summary of his research on cognition and locomotion in aging with the Dean presenting an overview of research on aging at Einstein.

There was a discussion of interim funding and the February 2013 Analysis in Brief on bridge funding in US medical schools. 

The meeting adjourned at 3:55 p.m.
