After approval of the Minutes, Dr. Tomaselli gave the Dean’s report, announcing the 16 faculty members approved for tenure.

Dr. Segall briefly reported on two Senate Council meetings, one of which focused on philanthropy, and on the vote to approve the first changes to the Senate bylaws.

Dr. Arne Gennerich, chair of the Committee on Committees, explained the role of the philanthropic council and announced that two senators will be part of it.

Dr. Ed Burns provided an update on the accreditation process.

Dr. Elizabeth Alderman reported on the activity of the Committee on Appointments and Promotions for Professor.

Dr. Pamela Stanley presented the faculty salary survey.
