- Meeting minutes from the June 16, 2021 were reviewed and revised.
- As the campus returns in-person, there was discussion about transitions and policies for employees that have been working from home. There are many different types of roles, some more amenable to working from home than others (e.g., clinical duties must generally be in - person). A survey will be released to understand the needs of each individual.
- Policies for COVID-19 vaccination were discussed. Many have agreed with the Einstein vaccine mandate, but some oppose it. For those who meet the requirements for exemption, there will be other measures in place such as frequent testing and masking.
- Dr. Benfield provided an update on activities of the Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion Council.
- Dr. Arnsten discussed the upcoming agendas for the Senate meeting, including a presentation by the Cancer Center Director, Dr. Ed Chu, and a presentation from Ms. Kathy Kearns of the Development Office.
- Dr. Tomaselli discussed strategies to broaden base from which to draw philanthropic funds.
- Dr. Sidoli discussed cost savings/investment possibilities from unnecessary instrument service contracts.
The meeting adjourned at 3:58 p.m.
