Dr. Burns, filling in for Dr. Tomaselli, gave the Dean’s report, announcing the tragic loss of a MSTP student and of Dr. Blanchard. He discussed plans for the new director of the Stem Cell Institute, the 2022 budget, ongoing negotiations to update the academic agreement with Jacobi, and the initial process to replace Dr. Skoultchi as Chair of Cell Biology.

Dr. Lai gave the Speaker’s report discussing two Council meetings, the elections for the Senate Council, and the availability of the COVID-19 booster at Weiler.

Dr. Gennerich gave the report from the Committee on Committees, asking for selfnominations of faculty interested in chairing the Fiscal Affairs Committee.

Dr. Saha reported on recent changes to NIH grant application forms and process.
