Salary and Benefits Residents in the Internal Medicine Residency Program and the Primary Care and Social Internal Medicine Track and Preliminary Track are eligible for the same salary and benefits. PGY1: $73,584.02 PGY2: $76,830.38 PGY3: $80,076.73 Conference and educational support House officers receive $500 annually to use toward educational resources (books, journal subscriptions, educational technology, etc.) and an additional $575 to support you presentation and attendance at a conference. Meals and Scrubs: The Department of Medicine provides breakfast and lunch weekdays at both campuses. White coats and scrubs are provided. Vacation House officers receive 4 weeks of vacation each year. Wellness/Self Care Time The Internal Medicine Residency Program cares about residents’ physical and mental health. House staff are given six personal half-day “wellness days” over the course of the year. The purpose of this wellness time is to allow house staff to schedule self-care/health maintenance activities such as medical, dental, vision, and mental health visits, or any activity that contributes to residents’ physical and/or mental well-being. The time is given independently of residents’ allotted vacation and sick days each year.
