Falk Recreation Center

Regular physical activity has been shown to improve overall mood and can alleviate feelings associated with stress, tension, depression and/or anxiety. Urgent Care Services

Montefiore Medical Group has an urgent care facility that accepts the Einstein student health insurance.

Montefiore UrgentCare provides high quality care for non-life threatening illness or injuries. Located within the Bronx East Montefiore Medical Group practice at 2300 Westchester Avenue in the Bronx, Montefiore UrgentCare is open 7 days a week, including most holidays to provide prompt, medical attention.

Montefiore Urgent Care provides medical care when your primary doctor is unavailable. We offer walk-in medical treatment with a wide range of on-site services.

Hours: Monday - Friday from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday and most holidays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Montefiore Urgent Care is staffed by skilled health professionals, including board certified physicians,nurses and other support personnel. You will receive the highest quality care in a comfortable, caring environment.

 

When to contact your primary care doctor

You should contact your regular physician for annual physicals, insurance referrals, medicationrefills, back-to-work clearance or other routine health matters. We recommend that you follow up with your primary care provider on allservices you receive through Urgent Care.

 

When to go to the emergency room

For serious or life threatening situations, or if you are unsure of where to seek services, call 911 or go to the hospital emergency department.

Typical illness and injuries that should be treated in the emergency room include:
  • Coughing up or vomiting blood
  • Fractured or broken bones
  • Major injury or burns
 
 
  • Signs of stroke, such as blurred vision, slurred speech
  • Suicidal or homicidal feelings
  • Uncontrolled pain or bleeding
