Emergency Procedures to a Biological Exposure

  • Remove personnel protective equipment and provide immediate care to the exposure site:
    • Wash site thoroughly with soap and water for 15 minutes.
    • Do not use harsh detergents or scrub the wound harshly.
    • If exposure is to the eyes, nose or mouth, flush mucous membranes with water.
  • Notify your supervisor and contact CorVel or Student Health and seek immediate medical attention
