The October minutes were approved.

Dean’s Report
Dean Allen Spiegel announced the appointment of Judy Aschner as the new chair of Pediatrics and Physician-in-Chief of The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore.  She replaces outgoing chair Philip Ozuah, recently named as the Chief Operating Officer of Montefiore. 

Speaker’s Report
Senate Speaker Jeff Segall reminded meeting attendees about the first scheduled event of the Faculty Interactions Committee, a faculty mixer held on November 8th at 4:30 PM in Max and Sadie.  He also acknowledged the efforts of Tracey Wilmot in facilitating carpooling for those affected by superstorm Sandy.        

Committee on Committees
Vinayaka Prasad, Chair of the Committee on Committees, did not have anything to report.

Early Dismissal
The two presentations scheduled for the Senate meeting were postponed due to a snowstorm.
