The minutes of the November 7 meeting were approved after modification. 

The current policy relating to tenure track faculty salary coverage requirements, interim support and continued employment was presented and discussed. 

The dean made a presentation on tenure.  Roughly 10% of medical schools have a policy similar to Einstein’s.  The dean has formed a committee on the tenure policy.  It is charged to make recommendations regarding tenure policy for newly appointed and tenure track faculty with a deadline of April 1.  Research is being done to collect information regarding what is being done overall at medical schools as well as New York City schools in particular.

Suggestions for enhancing funding are welcome.
