PRESENT: Drs. Allen Spiegel, Jeffrey Segall, Elyse Sussman, Steven Almo, Barbara Birshtein, Chandan Guha, Ellie Schoenbaum, Victor Schuster, Pamela Stanley, Steve Walkley, Olivia Vergnolle, Ed Burns, Steve Baum/Allison Ludwig, Mr. Ross Firestone

The Associate Professor CAP was approved.
Dr. Burns proposed changes to the promotions process.
- To drop the modifying term ‘clinical’ from the title for CET track faculty.
- To propose the possibility of Tenure of Title for faculty on the Montefiore payroll upon promotion to Professor
- Possibility of faculty appointment for nurses, physicians assistants and others who provide important teaching functions.
The changes were approved.
There was a discussion of the process of promotion, with the policy set by the handbook.
Dr. Freedman continued a presentation on the graduate program. There is a desire to increase the size of the graduate program, and a plan is being developed to aggressively recruit additional applicants and revise the interview process to enhance the presentation of the exciting science being done at Einstein.
The meeting adjourned at 4 p.m.
