PRESENT: Drs. Gordon Tomaselli, Elyse Sussman, Myles Akabas, Julia Arnsten, John Blanchard, Robbie Burk, Johanna Daily, Chandan Guha, Nadine Katz, Meredith Hawkins, Elizabeth Kitsis, Ellie Schoenbaum, Allison Ludwig

- Middle States is on track and will be ongoing for the next couple of years. January approval of degree granting will enable Einstein to grant degrees as of Jan. 16, 2019. Transitioning of all protocols to Einstein-Montefiore continues (e.g., NIH grants, licensing, Banner system). Dean’s letter was sent to community to address how these issues will affect different components of academic life.
- IT task force has met and a list of questions have been developed that will be forwarded to the IT consultant team for the planned Jan 2019 visit
- Curriculum reform will be put on hold until after the transition to Einstein independence for degree granting and Middle States accreditation.
- Town Hall meeting with Development office, an alumni initiative, and input from faculty are some actions to step up fundraising efforts.
- Cancer Center Director search continues. Search committees for Chairs of ENT and Pediatrics are now in process.
- Looking into how other medical colleges handle recognition of faculty who are R01 investigators who are on the clinical track.
The meeting adjourned at 4:15 p.m.
